A collegiate award-winning broadcaster, Gareth Kwok is a talented and versatile play-by-play announcer in his senior year at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University studying sports journalism. He has extensive experience as a play-by-play broadcaster, sports anchor, writer, radio show host, reporter and production assistant.

Gareth is one of the lead TV and radio voices for Arizona State athletics on Pac-12 Network Digital and KASC Blaze Radio. He has called Arizona State baseball, softball, women’s basketball, women’s soccer, women’s water polo, women’s tennis and wrestling.

In March 2021, Gareth was recognized by the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) for “Best Baseball/Softball Play-by-Play”. He was also nominated as a finalist for “Best Men’s/Women’s Basketball Play-by-Play”.

Gareth has also spent time as a play-by-play voice for the Orleans Firebirds in the Cape Cod Baseball League. He is also interning with the Sun Devil Radio Network on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM as a production assistant.

In addition to his play-by-play work, he has served as a writer and anchor for the Cronkite News: Phoenix Sports Bureau and the student-run organization, Walter Cronkite Sports Network (WCSN).
